March 2008: ELOST project will terminate at the end of March 2008. The final ELOST workshop will take place in Brussels on March 11, 2008. The workshop will be titled 'E-Government and Social Inclusion: Barriers, Opportunities and Future Directions'. It aims to bring together scholars working in the area of e-Government and e-inclusion to discuss research findings and policy recommendations among themselves and with policy-makers and technology providers. May 2007: The ELOST foresight study has been completed in May 2007.
The study included a worldwide expert survey on emerging technologies and their potential impact on the future use of e-Gov services by persons from low socio-economic groups (LSGs). The survey results will be presented at the "Smart Event", France, 17-21 September 2007: http://www.strategiestm.com/conferences/smartuniv/07/programme_identity-management-e-services.htm.

November 2006: The ELOST newsletter was published including several topics, such as Patterns of ICT Use and E-Government – What we Already Know, The Future of E-Government: Technological Capabilities and Societal Challenges, and short description of E-Government country profiles for Austria, Finland, Germany, France, Israel, and Bulgaria (download).

August 2006: The ELOST Delphi survey pilot was completed during August 2006. In the online Delphi survey we are using the Calibrum hosting services. The main survey, including 2 rounds, will be carried out during September through November 2006. At present, the survey is confined to a selected list of experts and is not open to the public.

July 2006: The second meeting of the ELOST project meeting was held in Paris on 3-5/7/06. During this meeting project’s partners participated in a brainstorming session with e-Government experts and visited several IT centres in the city of Paris. The project’s work plan was thoroughly discussed in the Paris offices of CIR.

June 2006: The ELOST project is considered for presentation at the IST 2006 conference in Helsinki due on 20-23.11.06.

February 2006: ELOST’s Kick off meeting was held at Tel Aviv University Israel on 6-7 February 2006.
