    Located in Israel's cultural, financial and industrial heartland, Tel Aviv University is the largest university in Israel and a major center of teaching and research, comprising 9 faculties, 106 departments, and 90 research institutes.

    ICTAF - Interdisciplinary Center for Technological Analysis & Forecasting
    Founded in 1971, ICTAF is a leading institute in Technology Forecasting, Foresight, Assessment and Roadmapping, is involved in strategic and long-term planning, and is very active in the international community.

    NIIS- Netvision Institute for Internet Studies
    The Institute’s mission is to conduct and disseminate comprehensive research on the social, cultural, managerial, economic, legal, and ethical ramifications of the Internet on our lives, with a view to becoming a leading national and international academic force in the field. NIIS’ mission also includes provision of policymakers with timely information and analyses to help guide Internet-related decision-making.

  2. ICCR - Interdisciplinary Centre for Comparative Research in the Social Sciences, Austria
    The Interdisciplinary Centre for Comparative Research in the Social Sciences was founded in 1986 as a private non-profit research organisation. The mission of the ICCR is to produce high-quality interdisciplinary research on Europe by carrying out policy relevant research; having a network of partner organisations; delivering research results to plan and budget; disseminating results appropriately; acquiring and developing high quality staff; managing ourselves efficiently and effectively.

  3. CIR - Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherche Comparative en Sciences Sociales, France
    CIR is a private non-profit research institution based in Paris. Since its creation in September 2000, the CIR has established a solid profile and achieved financial independence as a result of its ability to attract contract funding, of which the European Union is currently the principal source. The CIR currently has a salaried research staff of six, in addition to one administrative manager and the unpaid contributions of its board members and associated graduate students.

  4. IMI - Institute of Mathematics and Informatics - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences
    The theoretical and applied scientific activities of the Institute are connected with the following national and international priorities: Development of fundamental science, stabilization of the research potential, preservation and extension of the problem area and its linking to the international academic exchange by means of participation in the developing international research networks. Development of information technologies with the purpose of building a global informational community (e.g. - the Institute has participated in creating essential parts of the Bulgarian national strategy and program for the Information Society).

  5. TUB - Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (Centre for Technology and Society of Berlin University of Technology), Germany
    The Centre for Technology and Society is a world-wide known research institute of the Berlin University of Technology. More than 35 scientists bring their know-how and different disciplinary approaches to bear to a wide range of interdisciplinary projects in five thematic research groups (cooperation management, governance, qualitative knowledge management, infrastructures, and research systems).

  6. UTA - University of Tampere, Finland
    The Department of Social Policy and Social Work at the University of Tampere is one of the oldest university-level units in the field of social welfare in Finland. Currently there are approximately 800 students and 50 academic staff members, which make it one of the largest departments at the University of Tampere. Every year, approximately 50 students complete their studies with a Master of Social Sciences degree and about 3 receive a Ph.D. degree.
